Maybe You're Not a Good Person
I used to be proud of how "good" I was.I never wanted to offend anyone.I said yes when I wanted to say no.I stayed quiet when I should've spoken.
I tolerated things that slowly broke me because I didn't want to disappoint anyone.
Then I realized something.
Maybe I wasn't a good person, maybe I was just afraid.
Afraid of rejection, afraid of conflict, afraid of being misunderstood.
Some of us don't choose kindness, we choose comfort. We call it love when it's actually people-pleasing. We call it patience when it's actually fear. We call it humility when it's actually a lack of boundaries.
The truth?
A truly kind person knows how to say no. A truly loving person knows when to walk away. A truly good person doesn't sacrifice themselves just to keep everyone else comfortable against their own will.
So maybe the question isn't whether you're a good person.
Maybe it's whether you're free enough to be one.

Well said❤️
This is lovely
